ROUTINE teeth cleaning

The tooth needs to be cleaned and clear of cavities before sealants can be placed. A regular dental cleaning is required to ensure your sealants are successful.

SHADE SELECTION

*IF PATIENT PLANS TO WHITEN ITS PREFERRABLE TO DO IT BEFORE In the same appointment, your dental hygienist will isolate the teeth using a dry aide preventing saliva from touching the surface of the teeth. A BPA-free primer, clear in color, will be placed on the surface of the teeth. Next the clear sealant material is placed on the primed teeth. A UV free light is used to set and dry them. After all the sealants have been placed and dried, your Dentist will check your bite to ensure it is even and without discomfort.

IF YOU HAVE PERIODONTAL DISEASE ARE YOU ELIGIBLE FOR SEALANTS?

If you have Periodontal disease and are getting regular cleanings and without cavities, any unrestored teeth with groves can have sealants placed on them.
